Krista is a born connector.

At the age of 21, Krista traveled with the 2002 Salt Lake Winter Olympic Torch Relay as the spokesperson, so she was able to see firsthand the impact the visitor economy has on the community, which ignited her passion for the industry.

She then spent over 15 years as one of very few women executives in the ski and adventure lifestyle industry. Krista made significant contributions by pioneering social campaigns and digital media platforms that reshaped Park City Resort’s brand into an active lifestyle community, setting new online norms for the industry with the launch of Snowmamas.

As Senior Vice President of Partnerships and Media at Powdr - one of the largest ski resort and active entertainment operators in North America - Krista launched and ran a new division securing and overseeing partnerships with globally recognized brands including Subaru, Coca-Cola, Under Armour, GoPro, Red Bull and more.

In 2016 Krista and her sister, Lindsay Stephenson launched SisterUp, a business consulting agency for female entrepreneurs. She is also an in demand "experience" speaker and has become a conference favorite for her clients who invite her back year after year. Her presentations includes data-driven research, personal stories, and a high-energy that audiences remember long after the event ends. Audiences always leave inspired and motivated to start connecting.

Today, in her role with Visit Salt Lake, Krista is passionate about spearheading the responsible development of one of the fastest-growing destinations in the nation and deepening the impact of the visitor economy in the community.

When Krista is not traveling the world speaking or helping female entrepreneurs, she can be found skiing or biking with her team of boys: her husband and two teenage sons.
